DEUTERONOMY = TWO COVENANTS

                              Deuteronomy= The Two Laws

 First off it has been noted in Deuteronomy, That Moses called this a second covenant “besides” the one that Yahweh made with them in Horeb, Notice, De 29:1 ¶ These are the words of the covenant, which Yahweh commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb. (end quote) This was 40 years after the first Book of the Law was written and agreed upon, being sprinkled with Blood.

 Second in Exodus 24: 1-8 but more specifically in verses 7 and 8. Ex 24:6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Heb 9:18

 7:  And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, all that Yahweh hath said will we do, and be obedient. Ex 24:3; Heb 9:19

 8:  And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh hath made with you concerning all these words. (End quote)

 This First book of the Law was finished with this alliance, compact, completion of the blood and the sacrifices being made and sprinkled on the people, it was done.

But in Exodus Ex 32:1 ¶ And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

Ex 13:21; 24:18; De 9:9; Ac 7:40

 2:  And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

Ex 11:2; 35:22; Judges 8:24-27

 3:  And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

 4: And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.(end quote)

 This first Covenant that they had agreed too was violated, transgressed, terminated by failure to do all that the words of that Covenant said for them to do! Making other Gods, of Idols and sacrificing to them was in complete transgression of that first Law in the Ten Commandments of Exodus 20: 2-4 and Exodus 20: 23 of the First Book of the Law, And, furthermore because they had transgressed this First Book of the Law and this First Ten commandments, they were nullified, and Yahweh proceeded to write a second Table of Stone with Ten commandments on them, and a Second Book of the Law with Variations in them that were not in the first Set of Laws, so we will Proceed to show the differences in the Second Table of Stone with the Ten Commandments on them and the Differences of the Second Book of the Law that were not in the First Book of the Law.

 Primarily and foremost the priesthood changed and those that could offer Sacrifices under the first book of the Law could no longer offer Sacrifices under the Second Book of the Law.

 See Exodus 24:4 And Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Ge 28:18; 31:45; De 31:9

 5:  And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto Yahweh.(end quote)

 Notice closely, Moses Builded an Altar “under the hill” (mountain of Horeb) that represented the 12 tribes of Israel and not just the Levites! And then Moses sent “young men of Israel “ (not the Levites) to offer the burnt offerings and to sacrifice the oxen as peace offerings unto Yahweh! (There is no place here to indicate that the “young Israelite Men” had to be sanctified for 7 days before they could perform this service as the Levites had to be sanctified before they could perform these services under the Second Book of the Law.) See Leviticus 8: 33-35. (Nor was there any indication that the Altar had to be sanctified before it could be used as the Altar had to be sanctified under the Second Book of the Law.) See Leviticus 8:11.

Notice closely, Moses started writing this second book of the law at “Mount Sinai”, but never finished this second book of the law until the 11th moon of the 40th year. ( Duet. 1:3) and (See Exodus 27:1 Please note that this Altar must be sanctified because a “tool had come upon it”. (See also Exodus 20: 24-25 if they lifted a tool upon it they had polluted the Altar!) Also, Notice, only Aaron's Sons of the Levites were ever allowed to offer upon this polluted Altar wherein a tool was lifted upon within the tabernacle that was reared in the wilderness on the first Moon of the Second year after coming out of Egypt. (See Exodus 40:2 and Leviticus1:7 and Numbers 1: 1 and Numbers 3:3)

 Notice closely, Genesis 14: 18-20 Abraham paid tithes through the Melchizedek Priesthood Law, Notice also Abraham needed no Levitical Priesthood to offer his sacrifices for him.(Genesis 15:9)

And from the beginning Abel needed no high priest to offer his sacrifice for him, under the Melchezidek Priesthood each person offered their own sin offering without a Priest to offer it for them, and until the Law of the Levitical Priesthood was ordained (see second year of the children of Israel's wonderings in the wilderness Numbers 1:1 and Numbers. 3:1) all could offer a sacrifice voluntarily as the Priest of their family to Yahweh. (see Exodus 24: 4-5).

 Therefore we thus Notice; Hebrews 7: 4-12...For the priesthood being changed there is made of necessity a change also of the Law.

Now, let us notice the differences made of the two Tables of Stone, and of the two Books of the Law.

 #1). Exodus 20:11 For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

 #2). Compare with Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh thy Sovereign brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yahweh thy Sovereign commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day. (end quote)

Let us Notice just a few of the Differences between the two Books of the Laws that were written.

 #1). Exodus Ex 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: {lamb: or, kid}

 4:  And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

 5: Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: {of...: Heb. son of a year} Le 22:18-21; 23:12; Mal 1:8,14; Heb 9:14; 1Pe 1:19

 6: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. {in...: Heb. between the two evenings} Ex 12:14,17; 16:12; Le 23:5; Nu 9:1,3; 28:16; De 16:1,6

 7: And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. (end quote) This was the first Book of the Law!

Now let us consider the Second Book of the Law;

 De 16:1 ¶ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto Yahweh thy Sovereign: for in the month of Abib Yahweh thy Sovereign brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. Ex 12:2, 29, 42; 13:4; 34:18

 2: Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the Passover unto Yahweh thy Sovereign, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Yahweh shall choose to place his name there.

Nu 28:19; De 12:5, 26

 3: Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. Ex 12:15,19, 39; 13:3,6-7; 34:18; Nu 29:12

 4: And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificed the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. Ex 12:10; 13:7; 34:25; Nu 9:12

 5: Thou mayest not sacrifice the Passover within any of thy gates, which Yahweh thy Sovereign giveth thee: {sacrifice: or, kill}

 6: But at the place which Yahweh thy Sovereign shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the Passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. Ex 12:6-10

 7: And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which Yahweh thy Sovereign shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents. (end quote) (Notice “Tents” because they would not be at home at their houses but on a journey) Where as in the original command they were to put the blood on the door posts of their houses they live in within their gates, and now in the second book of the law they were to journey away from their house and be sleeping in a tent at a distant place and not allowed to kill the lamb within their gates as they were in the first book of the law.

In the first book of the law there was no divorce, only the putting away of a maidservant if the master did not provide food and raiment and the duty of Marriage. (See Exodus 21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. Ex 21:2-3;

 8: If she pleases not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. {please...: Heb. be evil in the eyes of, etc}

 9: And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

 10: If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish. 1Co 7:3, 5

 11:  And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money. (end quote)

 See Second Book of the law, Deuteronomy 24: 1-4. (Under this Second Book of the Law they were required to give her a divorce. (See Mt 19:3 ¶ The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

 4: And he answered and said unto them, have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female? Ge 1:27; 5:2; Mal 2:15

 5: And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Ge 2:24; Mr 10:5-9; 1Co 6:16; 7:2; Eph 5:31

 6:  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

 7: They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? De 24:1; Mt 5:31

 8: He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. (end quote)

In Galatians we read the Apostle Paul wrote; Galatians 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. {covenant: or, testament} Heb 9:17

 16: Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Messiah. Ge 12:3,7; 17:7; 1Co 12:12; Ga 3:8

 17: And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of Yahweh in Messiah, (the second book of the Law) the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.(The Promise Yahweh made to Abraham was a Covenant also and it takes precedence over the Second book of the covenant that was added because of the Golden Calf )(end quote) Also Ga 3:19 ¶ Wherefore then serve the (second Book of the) law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (end quote)

 The Covenant that was confirmed, affirmed, ratified, entered into with Abraham in Genesis 15:6-18 In the same day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: Ge 12:7; 13:15; 17:8; 24:7; 26:4; Ex 23:31; Nu 34:3; De 1:7; 11:24; 34:4; Jos 1:4; 1Ki 4:21; 2Ch 9:26; Ne 9:8; Ps 105:11; Isa 27:12

 19: The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

 20: And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

 21: And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.(end quote)

 Summary;  Original Covenant Had a Melchizedek Priesthood where each person offered their own Sacrifices without a mediator.

 Original Covenant was by Promise without the deeds of the Second book of the Law being performed.

 Original Covenant had no place for Divorce.

 Original Covenant you could not lift a tool upon the Altar or it was polluted.

 Original Covenant the Sin offering of a lamb for the first born was done with in your gates at your house and the blood applied to the door post of your house.

 Original Covenant tithes were given to the King of Righteousness (Melchizedek Priest).

 Original Covenant your belief in Yahweh was counted (inventoried) as your righteousness!

 Original Covenant, inheritance by promise through faith in Yahweh's word!

Original Covenant We were to be Holy Nation a Royal Priesthood!

Thus when it says in Deuteronomy 27:26 “Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them; and all the people shall say amen.”  We cannot say amen, because we cannot confirm all the words of the two books of the law; which change from one law to the second law. Therefore there is a conflict between the two laws. How can a person agree to disagree?

 If you remember in Exodus 24: Moses read that first book of the law to all the people, and they confirmed all the words of that law before it was sprinkled and excepted; When they broke it in the 32nd. Chapter of Exodus; that agreement was broken. So the second book of the law required an agreement before it could be excepted as well.

 When we see that there is two distinct different books of the law in question here, we realize the Apostle Paul was dealing with two laws; that is why he is so misunderstood, when he writes about, “Shall we make void the law through faith? Then says yah forbid, yea we establish the law.”  Obviously the Apostle Paul is referring to the first book of the Law. Then when the Apostle Paul is writing in Galatians 3:19 “Wherefore then serveth the Law? It was added because of transgression.” He is referring to the second book of the Law that was added after Aaron made the golden calf to worship, in the wilderness transgression, and not the first book of the law. Thus identifying which book of the law he was talking about.

 Notice Romans 7:1 The Apostle Paul wrote: “I write to them that know the Law”; and if people do not know and understand about the two books of the law, they will be confused.
