CIRCUMCISION

Circumcision, what is it today?

This subject of Circumcision has come before me again and so I will again try to Clarify the truth of circumcision  as a believer in the redemptive work of the Messiah, and as one who has received the Sign of the Holy spirit through baptism as Cornelius's Household did likewise.

2068 years after the first man Adam was created and 412 years after the Flood, Yahweh introduced (a) covenant to Abram called "the covenant of circumcision" or in the Hebrew "Bariyth Namal Basar Orlah”, and meaning "covenant of the clipping of the flesh of the foreskin". Gen. 17:10-12.

His following generations forgot this covenant and failed to circumcise their children until they were preparing to come out of Egypt in Exodus 12:44-48  335 years after their Father Abram was given "Bariyth namal basar orlah". (the covenant of circumcision).

Moses while in Midian has brought forth children and had not circumcised them when they were 8 days old according to the commandment, and an Angel warned him upon coming to the borders of Egypt that he needed to circumcise his Son, and it seems so harsh to his wife that she called him a bloody husband and the contention was so great Moses sent his wife and children back home to Midian. Exodus 4: 26.

The Children of Israel while in the wilderness for 40 years also forgot to circumcise their children that were born to them for those 40 years and after crossing the Jordan again had to circumcise all the males that had been born since coming out of Egypt. Joshua 5: 3-7.

But let us stop and consider Exodus 12: 44-48 for a moment here.

Ex 12:43 ¶ And Yahweh said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the Passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof: Ex 12:11; Nu 9:14

44:  But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof. Ge 17:12-13

45:  A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof. Le 22:10

46:  In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof. Nu 9:12; Joh 19:33,36

47:  All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. {keep...: Heb. do it} Ex 12:6; Nu 9:13-14

48:  And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to Yahweh , let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. Nu  9:14 [end quote]

Here we learn here that "No uncircumcised person shall eat of the Passover"!

Now 40 years passed in the process of time while the Israelites wandered in the wilderness and in forty years you will have quite a few males that were uncircumcised. Were they not able to eat of the "Passover " the last 20 years say, since they were uncircumcised? Or did they also forget to observe the Passover for those 40 years they were in the wilderness?

Now let us consider Genesis 17:14  And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant. Ex 4:24-26 [end quote]

Thus the covenant of circumcision of the foreskin of a male child's foreskin was what saved him from being killed, both on the "night" of Passover, when the death Angel passed over, and killed all the first born males of the Egyptians, and in the Covenant made with Abram.

Think about it! That was all the first born's Salvation in the night when the death Angel passed over and saw the blood of the lamb on the door post, and saw that all the males were circumcised!

These ordinances are so interwoven into each other that you can not separate the killing of the Lamb at Passover and putting the blood on the door post of every habitation from the circumcising of every male child when it is 8 days old. And yet, Yahweh did not hold them to this ordinance while they wandered in the wilderness, all the new born male children were uncircumcised until they crossed over Jordan and Yahweh did not cut them off with the death Angel.

Why were these male children that were born in the wilderness not held to the same standard and cut off being in uncircumcision those 40 years? I will proceed and declare it unto you from the scriptures. Was this covenant of circumcision of the foreskin  of the flesh of the pupos, only a "sign" and only a "ceremony" of the "real circumcision"[the circumcision of the heart gift of the baptism of the holy spirit i.e. truly circumcises our heart? And the "Lamb that was slain at Passover" only a ceremony and sign of the "real Lamb that was crucified at Passover 1500 years after, and the Messiah's Blood the real blood to be on our door post that will deliver us from the death Angel and from being cut off ?!

Now let me clarify something. Circumcision was ordained as a law to "time out of mind"! But that "circumcision” that was of the flesh of the foreskin, fulfilled it's purpose as a "sign" at the Out Pouring of the Holy spirit which was the real and true circumcision of the foreskin of the heart!

The Prophet Jeremiah spoke as the Spirit gave him utterance in Jere. 9:25

Jer 9:23 ¶ Thus saith Yahweh, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: Ec 9:11

24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am Yahweh which exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Yahweh.
Mic 6:8; 7:18; 1Co 1:31; 2Co 10:17

 25 Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised; {punish: Heb. visit upon}
Ro 2:8-9 [end quote]

Why would Yahweh say a thing like this? Always Yahweh has made the distinction between those that were circumcised and those that were uncircumcised. Now Yahweh says, “The days will come, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised".

In Genesis 17, Yahweh ask nothing more than that all the male children be circumcised in the foreskin of their pupos. And in Exodus 12: They were to kill the Lamb and put the blood on the door post, and circumcise all their males to save them from the death angel, nothing more!

Circumcision was always the key to salvation before Jeremiah's prophesy, but now in Jeremiah 9:25, all of a sudden, it is revealed that in the days to come, circumcision nor uncircumcision will not save them! Let us find out why.

In the Law, Thus saith Yahweh;

Deut. 30:6 De 30:5 And Yahweh thy Sovereign will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

6: And Yahweh thy Sovereign will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Yahweh thy Sovereign with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.  De 10:16; Jer 32:39; Eze 11:19; 36:26 [end quote]

Notice Yahweh will circumcise thine heart! Once this circumcision became available, the Circumcision done with the hands of man became old and ready to vanish away!

Notice also in the Law, I am quoting to you from the law, where the law itself prophesied of these fulfillments to come and of these changes of the law in time to come, which has come!

Notice Deut.  18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.  De 18:15; Isa 51:16; Joh 1:45; 4:25; 8:28; 12:49-50; 17:8; Ac 3:22; 7:37

19: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. Ac 3:23; Heb 12:25 [end quote]

This "Prophet Yahshua Messiah" was from among their brethren, He did speak in the Name of Yahweh and declared it unto them, and now he says, Yahweh will require it of him who does not hearken to his words!

Now notice the change of who gets "cut off". Before it was those who were uncircumcised in their foreskin of their pupos, and now, it is those who will not hearken to his words! The words of the Prophet Yahshua Messiah!

Ok, what were these words that the Prophet Yahshua Messiah spoke that the people are not hearkening too?

 Math. 5:17 ¶ Think <nomizo> not <me> that <hoti> I am come <erchomai> to destroy <kataluo> the law <nomos>, or <e> the prophets <prophetes>: I am <erchomai> not <ou> come <erchomai> to destroy <kataluo>, but <alla> to fulfil <pleroo, to make replete, to level a hollow.>.  Ro 3:31; 10:4; Ga 3:24 [end quote]

Was there something about the law that needed to be depleted? Was their a hollow place in the law that needed leveling? Of course there was! All the Sacrifices of the law were hollow ceremonies directing the readers to the Supreme sacrifice of the Messiah and Prophet Yahshua Messiah who would offer himself for the sins of many, and when this was replete, there would be no more need of Animal sacrifices! Did this action "destroy the law"? No way! It made it replete; it leveled out a hollow in the law that gave it completed meaning!

It does not "destroy the law" to understand that Yahshua's Sacrifice was the repletion of Animal Sacrifices! It does not destroy the law to understand that "the outpouring of the Holy Spirit baptism as the circumcising of the heart, repleted the circumcision of the flesh of the foreskin of the pupos! It does not destroy the law to understand that the "ultimate sacrifice of the Lamb" on the Passover as Yahshua as the Lamb repleted the need of an animal lamb sacrifice at that time!

Now let us go on to the words of the Prophet Yahshua Messiah concerning his work of repletion.

 Luke 24:44 And <de> he said <epo> unto them <autos>, These <houtos> are the words <logos> which <hos> I spake <laleo> unto <pros> you <humas>, while <on> I was yet <eti> with <sun> you <humin>, that <hoti> all things <pas> must <dei> be fulfilled <pleroo , to make replete, to level a hollow>, which <ho> were written <grapho> in <en> the law <nomos> of Moses <Moseus>, and <kai> in the prophets <prophetes>, and <kai> in the psalms <psalmos>, concerning <peri> me <emou>. Mt 16:21; 17:22; 20:18; Mr 8:31; Lu 9:22; 18:31; 24:6

45:  Then <tote> opened he <dianoigo> their <autos> understanding <nous>, that they might understand <suniemi> the scriptures <graphe>,  Ac 16:14

 46:  And <kai> said <epo> unto them <autos>, Thus <hoti> <houto> it is written <grapho>, and <kai> thus <houto> it behoved <dei> Messiah <Christos> to be the Passover <pascho>, and <kai> to rise <anistemi> from <ek> the dead <nekros> the third <tritos> day <hemera>: Ps 22:1-31; Isa 50:6; 53:2; Lu 24:26; Ac 17:3

 47:  And <kai> that repentance <metanoia> and <kai> remission <aphesis> of sins <hamartia> should be preached <kerusso> in <epi> his <autos> name <onoma> among <eis> all <pas> Gentiles (not just to the circumcised of the flesh but to all nations) <ethnos>, beginning <archomai> at <apo> Jerusalem <Hierousalem>.  Ge 12:3; Ps 22:27; Isa 49:6,22; Jer 31:34; Da 9:24; Ho 2:23; Mic 4:2; Mal 1:11; Ac 13:38,46; 1Jo 2:12

Lu 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.  Joh 15:27; Ac 1:8,22; 2:32; 3:15

49:  And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.  Isa 44:3; Joe 2:28; Joh 14:16,26; 15:26; 16:7; Ac 1:4; 2:1 [end quote]

These are the words of "that prophet" spoken of by Moses in the law" whom all that would not listen to his words" it would be required of him! In other words, "The Messiah would not profit that person"!!!

Listen to what he made "replete" by the words of that prophet spoken of by Moses.

#1) Remission of sins was to be "preached" in his name, beginning at Jerusalem (i.e. to the Jews , who refuse his words to this day) and to "all" the "ethnos" known from the Hebrew word goyeem, who under the law were not to be included, but now are included , in the remission of sins "preached" in the Name of Yahshua Messiah!

#2) What else? Behold I send the Promise of the Father upon you! To which after you receive it you shall receive power! What kind of Power? The circumcision of the Heart, to love \Yahweh with all your heart and with all your soul!

Now we can understand why Jeremiah would prophesy That the "days would come when Yahweh would destroy and punish the circumcised with the uncircumcision, because , the circumcision will not accept the circumcision of the heart to love Yahweh with all their heart and with all their soul, they have refused the words of Yahshua the Prophet prophesied in the law that if any would not hear his words it would be required of him, and natural circumcision has no power to save them any more, it is now , the circumcision of the heart, by the out pouring of the baptism of the Holy spirit and the power to love and obey and trust with all of your heart and with all of your soul by his indwelling Spirit of life!

#3) What signs do we have that these things have been repleted that we have talked about in this subject?

 a) The "curtain" separating the holy of holies from the common court was "ripped" from top to bottom at this prophet's death even the death of Yahshua Messiah! A Phenomena that could not have been accomplished except by divine purpose, to show that that dispensation and era of an earthly priesthood and an earthly tabernacle according to the Law of Moses had been repleted, and that the "true tabernacle" which was Yahshua Messiah had taken its place, along with all of its divine services and carnal ordinances!

 b) Also, the sign of Cornelius’s household being filled with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit baptism the "same as" the apostles had been endued with power, without first being "circumcised with the natural circumcision made with hands" prior to there receiving this gift from Yahshua Messiah as promised, making no difference between the already circumcised by hand than the uncircumcised in flesh! And, furthermore, this caused a big dispute among the circumcised Jews who heard about this outpouring of the Holy spirit upon the uncircumcised , who received it just like the Apostle had received it! And thus, they called for the first "general assembly” of the Apostle and Elders to discuss this matter.

In Acts Ac 15:1 ¶ And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.  Ge 17:10; Le 12:8; Joh 7:22; Ac 15:5; Ga 2:12; 5:2; Php 3:2; Col 2:8, 11, 16 [end quote]

 And so the dispute began...

It was all about the "uncircumcised gentiles" that the Apostle Peter had went down to, and who had received the Holy spirit as the Apostle's had, as they heard Peter declare unto them the words of the Messiah and his death burial and resurrection.

 And after a long dispute, the Apostle Peter stood up and said this;

Ac 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago Yahweh made choice among us, that the (uncircumcised) Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Ac 10:20; 11:12

8 And Yahweh, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 1Ch 28:9; Ac 1:24; 10:44

9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Ac 10:15, 28, 43; Ro 10:11; 1Co 1:2; 1Pe 1:22

10 Now therefore why tempt ye Yahweh, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Mt 23:4; Ga 5:1

#4) Yahweh did not require Circumcision of the flesh  at the hand of man, because Yahweh knew their hearts and bare witness to their hearts giving them the Holy Spirit even as he did to the circumcision, on the day of Penticost, and did not require circumcision by the hand,  for these Gentiles, received the circumcision of the heart , by the witness of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit,   and the Apostle Peter is saying here, that for these Pharisees to put "Yahweh on trial" concerning , this great witness of the uncircumcised house of Cornelius, who received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as it was poured out on them from Yahweh, was ridiculous, and evil to try and continue to use circumcision of the hands as a requirement for salvation according to the law!

Circumcision according to the law by this statement was a yoke that neither they nor we nor our fathers were able to bear!

This then was the conclusion of that first general assembly held by the Apostles and Elders and Pharisees who believed in their day and time, and it has never been refuted or proven to destroy the law of circumcision to this day!

The law of circumcision was not destroyed but repleted by the circumcision of the heart by the outpouring of the holy spirit upon all those who Yahweh knows their hearts are to love him and obey him in accepting his offer of remission of their sins by the preaching of Yahshua's Name to all peoples, and to all places and to all times.

As Far as Yahweh is concerned and according to his words and actions, there is neither circumcision nor uncircumcision availeth anything with him who knoweth the hearts, but to them who still insist upon circumcising their children when they are born, The Messiah shall profit them nothing! And they continue to "reprove Yahweh” for giving the Holy Spirit to the uncircumcised while they were yet in uncircumcision, putting a "Yoke of Bondage" on their children, whom neither they nor their fathers could bear!

Well I tried to keep this short, I am sure that with all discussions, there is a opposite argument for this subject, but it has had no root in me, seeing this is overwhelming evidence that overrides all other excuses for continuing in circumcision by hand. And I have not even touched the Apostle Paul’s writings, and that of the Hebrews, and etc others.

Please read and study all details and respond directly to the material I have supplied here for discussion. Thanks.

The "Pure Seed" in the "divine nature” that is engrafted into the believer when he is baptized with the Holy Spirit and receives it just as the early Apostle and Cornelius’s household received it.

If you be the Messiah's then are you Abrahams seed according to the promise. Galatians 3:28-29.

Without fleshly circumcision, without a blood test, and without a pedigree!

And if you or anyone is persuaded to be circumcised, The Messiah shall profit you or them nothing. Gal. 5: 2-3

Yahweh knows the heart, and circumcises the heart by faith, whose heart is perfect toward him. 2 Chron. 16:9. Acts 15: 9

All those who claim to be zealous of Yahweh's law I ask.

Is not Yahweh the law giver? And cannot Yahweh make the law mean what he wants it to be? And who are you as a man to war against Yahweh who gave the law and also repleted the hollow places of the law, that it might bring forth fruit unto righteousness in newness of spirit and not in oldness of the letter?

Simon the Sorcerer was not able to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, though he offered money for it, because his heart was not right with Yahweh. Acts 8:21-22

The Elders of Stephens days resisted the Holy Spirit as their Fathers did, and had Stephen Stoned to death because they knew his was telling them the truth but, they were so ensnared in their tradition, they could not make the changes in their heart! Acts 7:51

The Pharisaical Jews in Acts 15: 5 even though it says they were believers , was demanding that it was needful to circumcise Cornelius’s household according to the law of Moses,  even though Yahweh had born witness that he accepted Cornelius without the need of circumcision, But,  as lawyers will do , these Pharisaical Jews proceeded on to argue their case of the Law of Moses, regardless of the "evidence" that Yahweh was not doing it according to that law any more, but instead according to the law of the Spirit , which was circumcision by the spirit of the heart through faith!

The Good News is, That remission of sin is to be preached in the Name of Yahshua Messiah now, and not through, the ceremony of animal sacrifices, fleshly circumcision, or carnal baptisms which were imposed on them (Israelites and strangers) until the reformation, and the reformation commenced with the "Veil being ripped from the top to the bottom in the temple at the death and resurrection of Yahshua Messiah.

After that "Veil" was ripped, (Math. 27:50-53) that signaled the repletion of the Old Covenant, which was a forerunner, for the present time, which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience, which stood only in food and drink offerings, and different kinds of baptisms, and fleshly ordinances imposed on them (Israelites and strangers) until the time of reformation. Heb. 9: 9-10.

As far as those who have been "mongrelized", in the resurrection Yahweh shall give them a body as he sees fit to give them, If they have receive the Seed of the Messiah in baptism as Cornelius’s did,  and will not be the same as they died with. 1Cor. 15: 37-38 But all those who go on in their sinful ways, not accepting remission of sins in the name of Yahshua, nor the circumcision of their heart by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, shall perish with the rest of the corrupt world that will be burned up and melt with fervent heat! See 2 Peter 3: 10-14.

Questions and answers:

Circumcision

Now that we have learned that “The Spirit of The Law” is “to love YHWH with all our heart” first and foremost, we can now move on to a few Scriptures passages that seem to speak against circumcision (and most other physical laws). At first glance these passages seem to contradict obedience to Torah, but in truth, these passages strongly support obedience to the very laws they seem to speak against. The Scriptures that we will look at are in actuality telling us that YHWH wants us to obey these Laws out of True Love for Him, not out of routine habit and self-centered gain/ salvation. After all, “The Spirit of His Law” is to “Love Him with all our heart”!

Acts 15, Acts 16, the Apostle Paul and “The Spirit of The Law (Love)”

5:  But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, that it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

6: And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

7: And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago YHWH made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

8: And YHWH, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

9: And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

10:  Now therefore why tempt ye YHWH, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

In other words, some Pharisees came and said “your salvation does not come from “Loving YHWH with all your heart, it comes from your immediate and complete obedience to every Torah command! So you better drop your drawers so I can cut your penis if you want to be saved, else you have no inheritance! [end quote]

[My Response to this last verse; you say, “in other words” Some Pharisees said,” your salvation does not come from “loving Yahweh with all your heart, it comes from your immediate and complete obedience to every Torah command! So you better drop your drawers so I can cut your penis if you want to be saved, else you have no inheritance! (But these other words that you said, is not what they said! What did they say? These Pharisaical believers said just what is written! What was written? That it is needful to circumcise them and to keep the Law of Moses.) So what did the Law of Moses say? Exodus 12: 48 When a stranger wants to eat the Passover to Yahweh let “all his males be circumcised”, and then let him come near and keep it. (Not after he has eaten of the Passover, but before he has eaten of the Passover!) For no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. 49. One law shall be to the native born and for the stranger who dwells among you. [end quote]

This command to be circumcised before he ate of the Passover was as much about love as any part of obeying the commandments of Yahweh! But according to the Baptism of Cornelius’s household Yahweh by passed having to circumcise Cornelius “before” he and his household ate of the “Passover” and before they “drank of the Spirit” of Yahweh!

So what is wrong with your Argument? The Spirit of the law of love was to obey and drop your pants and be circumcised before Yahweh would give you any things of his, but No! Yahweh did not require that “Part” of the law that required them the uncircumcised male to be circumcised first, before they ate of the things of Yahweh!

Thus your words fail to satisfy the test of providing evidence of the Torah being taught through love! The Torah was not taught to Cornelius’s house hold to circumcise them according to the demands of the law but, their hearts were “purified by faith” and not by the deeds of the law to love it according to its command.]

Of course Peter would have none of this! He knew that if these new converts truly believed, then they would, in time, obey all of YHWH’s commands out of love, not the self-centered reason of personnel salvation! This is True Love and this is the “Spirit of YHWH’s Law” Peter knew it!! [end quote]

Now I will give my response to the last verse; [You said, Peter knew that if these new converts truly believed, then they would in time, obey all of Yahweh's commands out of love.(Not Quite! To satisfy the requirement of the Law of Moses they must, not maybe, of perhaps, or afterward, but they must be circumcised before they were partakers of the Passover or any benefits of Yahweh's things! Circumcision in Time to come did not and would not satisfy the intent and meaning of the law of circumcision! Peter did not know any such thing according to the writings that we have to research from, and anyone who would assume this is not drawing it from the Law of Moses nor from the words of the Apostle Peter!]

So did Paul:

Galatians 5:6

For in Yahshua the Messiah neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Question: How did Paul say “Faith worketh”?

Answer: By Love! [end quote]

My Response to the last two verses; When the apostle said “ But faith which worketh by love”, again, does not satisfy the intent or contents of the law which I have shared in the above response of Exodus 12:48-49 which very clearly said, If any stranger wished to partake of the things of Yahweh's holy things , they must be circumcised before they ate of these things not after! If you are going to insist in the “letter of the law for circumcision, then what Yahweh instructed the Apostle Peter to do in going down and preaching remission of sins in the name of Yahshua first and foremost , before they were first instructed to be circumcised according to the law, was already violating the law of Moses, not to speak of , when Yahweh actually blessed them without first and foremost being circumcised according to the law of Moses, with the Holy spirit Baptism, was an out right breach of violation of the Law of Moses and contrary to the law of love in obedience, IF, Circumcision was still a binding law upon them!

Thus It is not reasonable to say that circumcision of the flesh satisfies the intent of the law without following the letter of the law of circumcising the stranger before he partakes of the things of Yahweh! Since the Cornelius’s experience does not satisfy the letter and intent of the law, neither does faith which worketh by love!” Saying in time if they love Yahweh they will get Circumcised”! Unless, Fleshly Circumcision is “timely” it has not satisfied the intent and letter of the law! But this is what the Apostle Peter Said, “Yahweh knowing their hearts, purified (circumcised) their hearts by faith, Thus, Circumcision, was not of the letter but of the spirit circumcising their hearts by faith!]

Matthew 22:37

Yahshua said unto him, Thou shalt love YHWH thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Question: What is the “Yoke” that Peter is talking about in verse 10?

Answer: The “Yoke” of obeying all of the Law “for the sake of salvation”.

In other words:

It is not the Law of YHWH that is wicked, it’s the heart of man that is wicked![end quote]

[ My response to the last 3 verses; You said , “The Yoke of the Law was of obeying all the law “for the sake of Salvation”. And then you said it is not the law that is wicked, it is the heart of man that is wicked. ( It is never been said that the “law is wicked” , But your other words fails their claim not being supported by evidence, for this is what the Scriptures says about why the law was given, and why it was repleted;

Hebrews 9:9 It was a “figure” for the present time, in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered, which CANNOT MAKE HIM THAT PERFORMED THE SERVICE PERFECT IN REGARD TO THE CONSCIENCE. 10. In regard to meat food offerings and drink offerings and diverse baptisms and fleshly ordinances IMPOSED UPON THEM UNTIL THE TIME OF REFORMATION. [end quote] Now this does not sound like the law was wicked either, but it does reveal that it only stood for that present time, and that it did not satisfy in making the conscience perfect, but the bringing in a better circumcision, that of the circumcision of the heart by faith, in the receiving of the Holy Spirit satisfied the need for a perfecting of the conscience! Thus this is why we remission of sins in the name of Yahshua instead of , animal sacrifices, and the circumcision of the heart by faith, instead of the fleshly circumcision, that did not bring about a performance at that time and does not bring about a performance now. This is why circumcision according to law of Moses is not preached by the Apostles nor practiced according to the letter, because it never perfected the conscience, whereas, the baptism of the Holy spirit perfects the heart and the conscience !]

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

There is a “right reason” to obey YHWH’s Law and there is a “wrong reason” to obey.

Wrong Reason:

Self-centeredness of personnel gain/ salvation

Right Reason:

Love for YHWH [end quote]

My Response to the last six verses; [There is no right reason to obey the law of Moses concerning circumcision of the flesh, because the Apostles and Yahshua Messiah has exposed its fleshly weakness to perform the perfection of the conscience, and the need to bring in a better way of perfecting the Heart and conscience in circumcising their hearts by faith, without the circumcision of the flesh according to the letter and intent of the law that was given to Moses.

And as the writer of Hebrews wrote; these fleshly ordinances were only imposed on them for their present time, until the time of reformation, of which Yahshua and the Apostles were the reformers spoken of in Hebrews 9:9-10.

Thus something that is not “imposed” is not required, and this is what the Apostle Paul wrote concerning those who would think to continue in being circumcised in the flesh; Galatians 5: 2 If you be Circumcised, the Messiah shall profit you nothing! What does it mean for the Messiah to profit you nothing? It means you are canceling out the circumcision of the heart by faith, it means you are denying the work of faith to purge your conscience and make it perfect. Since fleshly circumcision did not perform to perfect their hearts and conscience , and was only a figure for some 2000 years, and was only imposed on them for that time, to not recognize and accept this reformation of what circumcision of the heart is, is to be in denial of the work of faith upon the heart to Cornelius by the outpouring of the Holy spirit as the reformation of circumcision by Yahweh through faith, that did not require them to be circumcised in the flesh “Before” they approached Yahweh!]

Paul and Barnabas continue to explain in Acts 15:

19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to YHWH: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.

In other words:

“let us first teach the gentiles these 4 laws. Then every Sabbath day, in there respective synagogues, they will gradually learn and put into practice more and more of YHWH’s Laws week after week.

In other words Paul is saying: “

Give the new converts milk before you give them meat!” [end quote]

My response to the about 4 or 5 verses; [You said give the new converts milk before you give them meat! These other words that you speak is not the intent and purpose of the letter of the law , and is in violation of the law of Moses regardless if they obey half of the law and get circumcised after they are new converts! The Law of Moses demanded for them to be circumcised “BEFORE” they approached to Yahweh, not “After” they were converts, thus your very words condemn you as a believer in not circumcising the flesh according to the law of Moses, and thus circumcision of the flesh does not satisfy the intent and letter of the law by teaching to convert them first and then to circumcise them! The Law of Moses does not say, “They will gradually learn that they need to be circumcised in their flesh!” It says, if any stranger will eat of the Passover Let them circumcise all their males before they eat! No gradual thing at all, but the New Covenant from Hebrews says, this fleshly ordinance was only imposed on them for the present time “UNTIL” the time of reformation!]

1Cor 3:2

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

And as for you Pharisees mentioned in verse 5, this I say to you:

Heb 5:12

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of YHWH; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Now Timothy was a zealous believer already, and he couldn’t wait to be circumcised! He was ready for meat! He loved YHWH with all his heart and he sought eagerly to obey all of the commandments of YHWH!

So in the next chapter we read that:

Acts 16

1 Paul came down to Derbe and went on to Lystra, where there lived a disciple named Timothy. He was the son of a Jewish woman who had come to trust, and a Greek father. 2 All the brothers in Lystra and Iconium spoke well of Timothy. 3 Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him; so he took him and circumcised him, because of the Jews living in those areas; for they all knew that his father had been a Greek.

Was Paul leading Timothy astray by circumcising him? Did this circumcision “availeth nothing” to Timothy? Or was Timothy’s obedience counted as righteousness because his actions were done in “The Spirit of the Law”, that is Love?

Let me ask, did Timothy willing let a grown man take hold of his penis and cut it with a sharp knife? If this was not a mutual understanding between 2 grown men, this act could have never happened. So we see that

Timothy loved YHWH with all his heart! He asked Paul to circumcise him, because he wanted to obey YHWH with all he had! This is the “Spirit of the Law” in action! Let it be so in each one of us![end quote]

I will respond to these last several verses of thought of Timothy; [You say, “Timothy ask the Apostle Paul to circumcise him, because he wanted to obey Yahweh with all he had!.” But the Scriptures say that the Apostle Paul circumcised him because of the Jews! If it was for the purpose of satisfying the intent and letter of the Law of Moses,

the scriptures would have said so! Your words that you add to the thought and intent of the scriptures do not hold merit nor do they establish your claim, not being supported by scripture! ]

Paul recounts each of the above experiences throughout the entire Book of Galatians, and here is the main point that Paul seeks to make:

Galatians 5:25

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love

Matthew 22:37

Yahshua said unto him, Thou shalt love YHWH thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

True obedience is obedience that is manifest through love! Let it be so in us!

My Response to these last few verses is this; [True obedience to Yahweh is allowing Yahweh to be Yahweh, who is able to reform, update, upgrade, replete the law so that it is effective in its operation! Hebrews 9:9-10 declares fleshly circumcision and sacrifices to be outdated, that did not perform effectively, and that they are no longer required, and the Apostle Paul says, in Gal. 5: 2-3 that whoever is circumcised, The Messiah shall not profit them! This is a very dangerous thing to be deceived into or dangerous to deceive anyone else into with “Other Words” that can not be found in the scriptures nor cannot be supported by the scriptures themselves!]

Shalom!
