COMMUNION OR SUPPER OF CONSOLATION
Communion or Passover i.e.
Supper of consolation?
The Supper of Consolation .......
Tradition has made the following supper a traditional thing to such an extent that most think of it as a Command to do at an appointed time as though it was a demand to be eaten or you would not be partakers of the New Covenant redemption of their sins.
This is a short exposition of this Tradition being exposed and the original Supper put in its proper perspective.
The Verses are the ones used to perpetuate their tradition to take communion as the Protestants do; and also Catholics, as well as the Messianic Jews. Who claim it was really the "New Command for keeping the Passover meal" as though it were the Passover meal that they were learning to observe for the New Covenant.
Mathew
26:17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Yahshua, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover?
26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Rabbi saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples.
26:19 And the disciples did as Yahshua had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover.
26:20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
26:21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
26:22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Rabbi, is it I?
26:23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born.
26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Rabbi, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
26:26 And as they were eating, Yahshua took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Mark
14:12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the Passover?
14:13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14:14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the Goodman of the house, The Rabbi saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?
14:15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
14:16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover.
14:17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
14:18 And as they sat and did eat, Yahshua said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
14:19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? And another said, is it I?
14:20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
14:21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! Good were it for that man if he had never been born.
14:22 And as they did eat, Yahshua took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
14:23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Luke
22:7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover must be killed.
22:8 And he sent Kepha and John, saying, Go and prepare us the Passover, that we may eat.
22:9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
22:10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
22:11 And ye shall say unto the Goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?
22:12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
22:13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover.
22:14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer:
22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
22:17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
22:18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

John
13:1 Now before the feast of the Passover, when Yahshua knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
13:3 yahshua knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
13:4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
13:5 After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
13:6 Then cometh he to Simon Kepha: and Kepha saith unto him, Rabbi, dost thou wash my feet?
13:7 Yahshua answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
13:8 Kepha saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Yahshua answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
13:9 Simon Kepha saith unto him, Rabbi, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
13:10 Yahshua saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13:13 Ye call me Master and Rabbi: and ye say well; for so I am.
13:14 If I then, your Rabbi and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

1Corithians 11
11:20 When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat Yahweh's supper.
11:21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
11:22 What? Have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the Assembly of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
11:23 For I have received of God that which also I delivered unto you, That the Master, Yahshua the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.( till he be resurrected into his kingdom)
11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread (the bread that perisheth), and drink this cup (the fleshly cup), ye do disclaim Yahshua's death as though he had not come.
11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of Yahweh, inadequately, shall be guilty of the (death) body and blood of the Messiah.
11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread (i.e. which was his true body, the word that became flesh), and drink of that cup (the Spirit which is the life of his body).
11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh inadequately, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not understanding the true body of the Creator.
11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of God, that we should not be condemned with the world.
11:33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
11:34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation; and the rest will I set in order when I come.

Now let us consider what the Apostle Peter said to Cornelious's household!
Acts
10:34 Then Kepha opened his mouth, and said; of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Yahshua the Messiah: (he is master of all:)
10:37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
10:38 How God anointed yahshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
10:40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
10:41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
******************************************************************************
What happened? Yahshua the Messiah, was raised from the dead and "Showed openly" and did "Eat and drink" with him AFTER HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD!
What was it he told his disciples before his death about this "eating and drinking"?
Luke 22:18 ....I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God shall come! And, Peter, declared to them at Cornelious's Household, that, Yahshua the Messiah had both rose from the dead and been showed openly, but he had "eaten and drank" with them, thus showing and declaring that he had come into his Father's Kingdom.
And further more all who had witnessed these things there was no more need for them to "continue to do in remembrance a supper that had its culmination " in such wonderful events as this , since he, Yahshua the Messiah had resurrected from the dead and come into the Kingdom of God.
Well what kind of supper were they eating prior to his death that should be commemorated for 2,000 years afterwards or even to this day?
Was it the Passover? No!
Why was it not the Passover? Namely because The Passover Lamb that year was to be Yahshua the Messiah, and he was to be crucified and die at the very time the normal lamb was being sacrificed and prepared for the Passover meal. And so then, we know that, the meal of consolation was not eaten at the time of the Passover, which was eaten the following night, by all of the known Jewish world at that time, for all were preparing for the correct time according to the fullness of the full Moon in the Moon Abib at the appointed time, not a day in advance.
The Greek word for Passover and Passion are very nearly the same word, and in Acts 1:3 it is translated as his "Passion" as below you will see;
1:2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Spirit had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
And so, it is in fact called his Meal of Passion, not his meal of Passover as translation would deceive many with.
And of course when we study the course of traditional Jewish history it is very well noted that it was customary for the Hebrew people to have a meal of consolation whether in victory or in death or in marriage and etc. Let us see;
***************************************************
Genesis
14:17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.
14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of God.
14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of God, possessor of heaven and earth:
14:20 And blessed be God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
************************************************************
Here we find that a "Consolation meal of victory" was given, with the bread and wine, not something to eat on that date year after year. But, just as a tribute to Abraham, for his victory that was given him by the Almighty God over the 5 kings that had destroyed all of these cities and taken the people captive.
Let us go on and see what it says about this meal of consolation in another place;
******************************************************************
Jeremiah
16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
16:7 Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
16:8 Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
16:9 For thus saith Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.
As we can clearly see here, their custom of having a "meal of consolation" at the time of marriage or death or birth, was to be arbitrarily stopped because of extreme persecution and trials that was going to come upon that land of Israel for their rebellious turning away from following the Yahweh in his instructions to them if they wanted to continue in that land. And thus, the meal that Yahshua had his disciple prepare called his "passion supper" was on the wrong date to be the "Passover supper", and was only to be done, until he come into the kingdom of his Father, of which, he showed himself openly, and did eat and drink with them, as he said he would, and then ascended back to his throne in the heavens in a cloud.
For those who want to perpetuate this "meal of passion" commonly called the "Lords supper" the Apostle Paul blazingly states: When you come together this is not to eat the Lord's Supper! 1Corithians 11: 20
And furthermore all who do so, are not discerning; not understanding what Yahweh’s Body is! They suppose it is a piece of bread that can be broken, and the suppose that, that cup, is a fleshly Juice, that can be devoured, when John the beloved wrote nothing of this supper of consolation to be continued, but instead reveals what the Body of Yahshua really is and what the Cup really was to be that was to be eaten and drank from! Let us read it!
****************************************************************
John
6:26 Yahshua answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
6:27 Labor not for the Bread which perisheth, but for that Bread which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath the Father sealed.
6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
6:29 Yahshua answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? What dost thou work?
6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
6:32 Then Yahshua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
(unleavened bread is not that bread from heaven, but Yahshua the Messiah was the true bread from heaven nor the bread that he broke at the night of his passion)
6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
(unleavened bread did not come down from heaven but the word that became flesh did)
6:34 Then said they unto him, Rabbi, evermore give us this bread.
6:35 And Yahshua said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
(He, Yahshua the Messiah, is that bread of life which we partake of daily when we minister the good news that it is through his name we receive forgiveness of sins and not through any dead work of ceremony )
Those who do not discern the body of the Messiah, are weak and sickly, and many sleep, and will be judged with the world at their resurrection, because they never ate the true bread that came down from heaven nor did they drink from the true cup of the Spirit that was sent to give them life and life more abundantly in all things including but not limited to,
16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16:16 He that believeth and is baptized [with the Holy Spirit] shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;[the manifestation of the gift of the Holy Spirit filling an individual]
16:18 They shall take up serpents;[This is not snake handling but as the Apostle Paul was bit by the serpent while building a fire but unharmed so it shall be to those who are filled with the Holy Spirit] and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, [This is divine healing not hospitalization] and they shall recover.
But if you are still eating literal bread calling it the Lord's Supper and a literal cup of juice, calling it the Lord's cup, you are without discernment of what his body is; and will suffer sickness and weakness and also sleep, without these signs following you in the time of need. see 1Cor.
1 Corinthians 11
11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the body of the Master.
11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
*******************************************************************
Mark 16: 19
16:19 So then after Yahshua had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
***************************************************
After Yahshua had spoken to them, he was received up out of their sight!
It is a lot harder to perceive and to discern what the body of Yahshua the Messiah is after it is caught up out of your sight. And therefore many have followed common traditions handed down to us through the dark ages, supposing that his body is to be considered or imagined to be a piece of broken bread and his life to be something you drink from a natural cup. But, these things cannot give you healing for your body when you need it neither can it give you a life, a life more abundant, as the "True Bread that came down from Heaven can give to whoever believes in him"!
